Being a support action, the Twinning project eHERITAGE has one main objective: to increase the capacity, quality and extent of the research staff at the Virtual Reality and Robotics Department of Transilvania University of Brasov (UTBv), by collaborating with 2 other centers of excellence in Europe: the Department of Intelligent Systems of Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) from Ljubljana, Slovenia, and the TECIP Istitute PERCRO (Perceptual Robotics) Laboratory of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA) from Pisa, Italy.
eHERITAGE has set 3 operational objectives:
- Increasing scope and competitive research of the host institution, UTBv
- Training and mobility of researchers
- Continuously extending the R&I
After the first year of the project, considerable improvements have been made in all 3 operational objectives, as described below.

Other Events
UTBv team made contact with the History Musem of Brasov. This fortunate collaboration resulted from the fact that eHERITAGE project was featured in local media, and in the newspapers of several institutions, since its beginning, in November, 2015. Starting with August, 2016, UTBv participates in an exhibition of the History Musem of Brasov. Moreover, UTBv plans to collaborate with this institution in other future exhibitions, on several research themes.
During 29th of August – 7th of September, 4 members of the UTBv personnel participated in a series of workshops organized under the 5-th Edition of CREATIVE Summer School in Virtual Environments, held at Ovidius University of Constanta by CeRVA Lab of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science in a partnership with National History and Archaeology Museum of Constanta and Transilvania University from Brasov.
