eHeritage team was present at EU Open Day

Our team attended the EU Open Day at Brussels, on the 5th of May, 2018. We had a lovely time and interacted with a lot of interesting people. We’ve brought to the event the 3rd version of our haptic bow running a shooting scenario in the close vicinity of the Bran castle, the second version of our holographic stand running a presentation of the fortified churches from the Transylvanian region “Țara Bârsei” and a Google Tango phone, running a virtual museum exposition.

The star of our exposition was the haptic bow, which was tested by lots of persons. There was a large queue for testing this equipment in the best hours of the event. People enjoyed the interaction; this could be seen on their faces. The scenario of the holographic stand was created based on the 3D models of 6 fortified churches: Harman, Sanpetru, Vulcan, Prejmer, Maierus and Feldioara. For obtaining these, we have processed in photogrammetry over 50000 photos. We would like to use this opportunity to thank the curators of these monuments for supporting our project.
