Members from UTBv and SSSA teams have made a small visit to the Museo Archeologico di Cecina, within the external stages from the second year of the project carried out at Pisa. The purpose was to find ways to collaborate for improving the outreach of the Etruscan tumulus tomb (the tholos tomb), which has been recently reconstructed on the premises of the Museum. The tomb was discovered in 1932 in the small town of Casaglia (Montecatini Val di Cecina, PI), located on a hilltop overlooking the Cecina valley.
Our idea is to use Google Tango and reconstruct the tomb in Augmented Reality. This includes modeling the central pillar, the top of the tomb, the entrance walls and the objects (bronze vessels, funerary urns) inside it.
Membrii echipelor UTBv și SSSA au efectuat o mică vizită la Muzeul Arheologic din Cecina, în etapele externe din cel de-al doilea an al proiectului, desfășurat la Pisa. Scopul a fost acela de a găsi modalități de colaborare pentru îmbunătățirea accesului la mormântul Etruscan (mormântul tholos), care a fost recent reconstruit la sediul Muzeului. Mormântul a fost descoperit în 1932 în micul oraș Casaglia (Montecatini Val di Cecina, PI), situat pe un deal cu vedere la valea Cecina.
Ideea noastră este să folosim Google Tango și să reconstruim mormântul în Realitate Augmentată. Aceasta include modelarea stâlpului central, a cupolei mormântului, a pereților de intrare și a obiectelor (vase de bronz, urne funerare) din interiorul acestuia.
